A key consideration behind our pay and benefits is the fact that we are funded by individual subscriptions and must balance this with the need to attract and retain staff with the right skills, knowledge and expertise.
Our aim is to reward employees through a combination of salary and benefits, high levels of engagement and involvement and a commitment to employee development.
We offer employees a supportive working environment and many fantastic benefits including:
Working hours and leave
- Full-time is 35 hours per week
- Flexible working arrangements through flexi-time and flexi-Fridays when staff can finish work early
- Most roles offer hybrid working between home and office
- 20 days of annual leave plus 5 office closure days
- After 5 years of service, or if on top of salary scale, staff receive an additional day of annual leave each year, up to a maximum of 10 additional days
- Compassionate leave
- Additional flexible leave for a variety of purposes, e.g. moving house, study
Family friendly
- Maternity Leave pay: 13 weeks full pay less state benefits, 13 weeks half pay less state benefits
- 10 days of paid Paternity Leave
- Seven weeks of paid Parent’s Leave
Pay progression and other benefits
- All staff progress annually by one increment within their salary scale, up to a maximum of 13 increments
- Contributory pension (staff contribution 5%, organisation’s contribution 6%)
- Flexible benefits policy: staff who choose not to avail of pension have the option of availing of a range of other pre-agreed benefits up to the annual value of €1,500 (e.g. health insurance, dental insurance, extra annual leave, travel ticket)
- Income protection
- Death in service (4 times annual salary)
