We want the Irish government to ensure that sex workers are safe from violence, listened to, and have access to their full human rights.
In our report, published in 2022, we found that a 2017 law purportedly designed to protect human trafficking victims and sex workers from exploitation is instead facilitating the targeting and abuse of sex workers, and the state is failing to protect them from violence.
We’re calling for decriminalisation of sex work as the first step. Our criminal justice system should stop policing sex work and instead tackle abusers and exploiters of sex workers.
Here you can read the report, find testimony from sex workers of their experiences and show your support for our campaign.
